Tasting notes on the wine:

"Saveurs de Raphaël, by Raphaël Marchal, is a peculiar blend of mostly gewurztraminer with a touch of riesling, in which the gewurztraminer’s exuberant nature has been hewn away, somewhat, by an oxidative path of vinification. What remains is an upright acidity and a firm, muscular structure, supporting subtle flavors of curry and sweet onion.” — Aaron Ayscough

About the winemaker:

“Founded by pioneering Alsace natural winemaker Christian Binner and the team behind Alsace natural wine enologists DUO Oenologie, Les Vins Pirouettes is an innovative, agency-like structure, aimed at introducing local producers to the burgeoning natural wine market and promoting radical natural vinification within the region." — Aaron Ayscough
