Tasting notes on the wine:
"Croizade is a blend of duras and syrah with the latter being one of my forever favorite grapes for its savory, sexy nature. The Wine Bible author Karen MacNeil likens syrah to 'the kind of guy who wears cowboy boots with a tuxedo,' and that has always stuck with me. The syrah in this blend gives this wine structure, a brooding, carnal smoke, and a red berry vibe while the duras adds a touch of floral pepperiness. Again, throw this baby in the fridge, drink it in the sunshine. This wine can stand up to some meaty or spice-heavy dishes." — Kristin Olszewski
About the winemaker:
"La Vignereuse winemaker Marine Leys is making some of the most phenomenal wines to come out of the Tarn in Southern France." — Kristin Olszewski
