Tasting notes on the wine:

“The wine is fleshy with lively mineral dark fruits, herbs, and expressive acidity that cleans your palate with every sip. Drink slightly chilled and let breathe for 30-45 minutes before enjoying it. Pairs well with Puerto Rican pastelon, the island version of lasagna. — Pedro J. Rodriguez

About the winemaker:

“Hands down on one of our favorite varieties in the world, carignan has been in Chilean viticulture for over seven decades. This expression from Gustavo Martinez comes from just outside of his hometown in southern Chile. Half of the grapes go through carbonic maceration and the rest spend time in old native Chilean oak (does not impart any flavor) before being rested for eight months to smooth the tannins. — Pedro J.
