Tasting notes on the wine:
"Super fruity but not at all in a syrupy fruit cup way; it’s a bit more tart. This is more like a fruit salad made of grapefruit, mango, guava, stone fruit, and green apples, seasoned with a pinch of sea salt and topped with some super-tasty crushed chalk." — Scarlett Carrasco Polanco
About the winemaker:
"Ginny Povall is a Massachusetts native who decided to settle at Protea Heights, a farm on the outskirts of Stellenbosch in South Africa’s Western Cape province. Completely self-taught as a winemaker, she expanded the farm in 2009 to plant five hectares of organically-farmed vines. Today the estate vines provide Ginny and her team with cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, petit verdot, and albariño used to craft Botanica’s Arboretum, Big Flower, and Flower Girl wines." — Scarlett Carrasco Polanco
