Tasting notes on the wine:
“This skin-contact wine underwent one month of contact, allowing it to take on its stunning amber hue. It then spent three months in amphora to develop some age. It proves that like most things in life, good things come to those who wait. This has a touch of earthiness, plus some stone fruit and pear notes. I love this wine with a holiday ham because the acidity is a perfect way to help offset the meat’s richness.” — Cha McCoy
About the winemaker:
"What I especially love about this wine is that it’s made by two friends who studied oenology together and decided that their skills complemented one another. The duo behind Altos de Montanchez is helping to show that Extremadura can produce all styles of wines." — Cha McCoy
