Tasting notes on the wine:

"For this tinto the Ramirez brothers are using the Canary Island’s most prevalent grape (listan negro) with a little tintilla to make a medium bodied red that drinks like a $200 bottle of wine. Here you’ll get notes of raspberry, strawberry, black tea, and a touch of smoke and hellfire." — Marie Cheslik

About the winemaker:

"Frontón de Oro is a Canary Islands winery led by brothers Pedro and Antonio Ramirez. The Ramirez brothers are known for making elegant wines, and for doing it on vineyards that are some of the highest-elevated sites on the island of Gran Canaria!" — Marie Cheslik
