Tasting notes on the wine:

"This flirty, fun rosé is made from 100 percent merlot (because yes, we do love merlot, and yes, it can be more than a buttoned-up Bordeaux). Think Aperol-grapefruit spritz, sans bubbles; or South of France strawberries plucked off the vine, fresh rosemary sprigs, and a bouquet of wild white flowers. Drink this wine day or night — we typically start with a rosé over a few aperos enjoyed al fresco (lupini beans and Castelvetrano olives on any deck, terrace, backyard, or patch of concrete). Undoubtedly, we will make our way back to a similar-hued wine by the end of the night!” — Chloe & Kaitlyn

About the winemaker:

"François Ducrot, whose vineyard is nestled in the Languedoc, is a friend to many. His Solange rosé is an example of what the wine world refers to as a ‘negoce’ wine. What does this mean? It means he finds organic farmers that are growing beautiful fruit, buys from them, and makes wine! There is a small town 45 minutes west of Montpellier called Aspiran where many organic farmers were selling fruit to co-ops to make big-label bulk wines, and getting zero credit for their work in the vineyards. Ducrot swept in, and voila! He showcases grapes with integrity and the people and terroir behind them." — Chloe & Kaitlyn
