Tasting notes on the wine:

"This blend made equally of frappato and perricone is for lovers of light-bodied wines with exciting fruit notes. Frappato is a thin-skinned grape that shows bright fruit notes while perricone is known to have similarities to barbera, fruit-forward but earth-driven as well. When blended, the two complement each other well and result in something akin to a pinot noir. This blend is easy drinking with notes of black cherry, dried strawberry, plum, and licorice. Serve slightly chilled with a cute charcuterie board, herby pasta dishes, or just on its own." — Kyla Peal

About the winemaker:

"Flavia Rallo is a fourth-generation winemaker for Rallo Vineyards, an established producer that’s been at it since 1860. They’re located on the northern side of Mount Etna, about 750 meters above sea level. Proximity to the water along with the rich volcanic soils allow the grapes to gain a lovely amount of minerality and complexity." — Kyla Peal
