Tasting notes on the wine:

"This wine is a salty, crisp, and full dry white with notes of pineapple. That may sound like wine label-speak, but this wine’s got some significant funk, too. It also has a sneaky amount of heat (aka the amount of alcohol you pick up on from a sip) that warms the body without overpowering the palate. I’d pair it with duck confit, white bean cassoulet, or kranjska klobasa, a Carniolan sausage from Slovenia." — Derrick Westbrook

About the winemaker:

"In 2005, the Tement family founded the Slovenian winery Domaine Ciringa, which is located directly next to the Austrian winery Temen. Domaine Ciringa vinifies sauvignon blancs that grow on pure coralline limestone soil." — Domaine Ciringa
