Tasting notes on the wine:

"This is a quintessential Mediterranean wine: concentrated and intense, with notes of black olives, licorice, and wild herbs (thyme, rosemary, mint). Tannic but vibrant, this is a great expression of long-lived grenache: fresh, fruity, serious, and complex all at once." — Isabelle Legeron

About the winemaker:

"We have a bottle from Marc and Caroline Barriot and their 30-acre farm in the sun-kissed Roussillon. This is a blend of old-vine grenache noir, syrah, and carignan grapes that are grown on the typical black rock soils of Maury, the heartland of the Roussillon famed for its heady sweet red wines." — Isabelle Legeron
