Tasting notes on the wine:

"During fermentation some of the wine undergoes full carbonic maceration, which gives you that snappy, vibrant mouthful of fun reminiscent of the ’90s and those blue razz Pop Rocks we all secretly love. Don’t be fooled by the fruit though! This is balanced and grounded by notes of dried herbs, some meatiness, and chewy tannins that come and go. This is a tried-and-true vin de soif." — Chloe & Kaitlyn

About the winemaker:

“This wine comes from winemaker Alfredo Arribas’ Vins Nus project, which means ‘naked wines,’ while ‘SiurAlta’ translates to ‘high altitude.’ Arribas's mission is to create fresh, bright iterations of garnacha from cool climates with high altitudes. Arribas is a native of Barcelona and a former professional architect. We love a reinvention story, and Arribas did just that when he released his first vintage of Portal del Priorat in 2001. To complement the robust character found in Priorat, Arribas purchased land in Montsant — a region surrounding Priorat, with vineyards sitting at 700-meter altitudes." — Chloe & Kaitlyn
