Cha McCoy is a sommelier, public speaker, and the founder of Cha Squared Experiences, LLC, a beverage consulting company focused on events, tourism, and education. She is a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and has been recognized by Wine Enthusiast on its Top 40 Under 40 Tastemakers list, and Wine & Spirits’ Rising Black Voices in Wine. McCoy’s list of clients includes prestigious organizations such as the James Beard Foundation, Facebook, and NBC, as well as a selection of wine and spirit brands. Recently, Cha also became the beverage director for Charleston Wine + Food Festival as well as Cherry Bombe magazine’s first beverage director and editor. Her work has been celebrated for making wine more accessible, through initiatives like her wine dinner series, the Communion, which will open a brick-and-mortar space opening in Fall 2022.
