Scarlett Carrasco Polanco is the brains behind our August box, bringing her passion for wine (first sparked a decade ago by a glass of muscadet that smelled like oyster shells) to her late summer selections. Scarlett started out at Lucia's Restaurant in south Minneapolis, sitting in on tastings with the restaurant’s wine buyer; pursuing more wine knowledge as she worked her way up at other Twin Cities restaurants, she became a certified sommelier in 2017 and a beverage director in 2018.
She’s currently behind the excellent wine lists at Keep It Grand and Eastside Eat + Drink, both in Minneapolis, and also sits on the board of directors for Twin Cities Somms, a mentorship-focused nonprofit that seeks to elevate the quality of beverage education in Minnesota.
