Eater Wine Club Subscription
Get restaurant-quality wine mailed to your door each month as a recurring subscription. Just choose the number of bottles per month (two, four, or six) and the kinds of wines you'd like — red, white-ish (think whites, rosés, and skin-contact wines), or a mix! Each month, the wines are curated by an Eater-beloved wine pro, who picks a theme based on the flavors, regions, and trends exciting them right now.
This month’s theme: Black and orange wines
We’re leaning into the fall vibes for October. Our curator June Rodil was inspired by the season (and in particular Halloween) to do a selection of “black and orange” wines — that’s right, we’re diving into skin contact aka “orange” wine as well as sinking our teeth into inky, rich black-fruited reds. As the season changes and we wrap ourselves in our favorite sweaters, we shift from summer porch pounders and lightly chilled reds to wines with depth, dimension, and lushness that blast our taste buds with vibrant flavors.
This month’s curator: June Rodil of Goodnight Hospitality, Houston
June is a partner and owner at Texas-based Goodnight Hospitality, which in its founding year opened Montrose Cheese & Wine and Rosie Cannonball — the latter of which earned a James Beard Award semifinalist nod for outstanding wine program. June is passionate about restaurant operations and championing diversity and inclusion in hospitality, and her leadership in the beverage community has earned her major accolades. She was named Star Chef’s rising star sommelier award in 2012 and Wine Enthusiast’s sommelier of the year in 2019, and she’s the only person to have received both restaurant of the year and sommelier of the year in Food & Wine’s history. June is also an avid sparkling wine drinker, having created her own private label rosé in 2017 with Austrian winemaker Markus Hube.
