Thanks to D.C. wine pro Sarah Horvitz, we’ll be well equipped with wines to help us welcome warmer weather. Sarah got her start in wine at Washington, D.C. favorites Doi Moi and Maxwell Park, and today is the beverage director at Oyster Oyster — a restaurant that’s loved by D.C. locals for an ever-changing and vegetarian-friendly prix-fixe menu that’s highly-seasonal. Of course, diners are there as much for the long list of courses as for Sarah’s thoughtful pairings, which highlight responsible winemakers. Before jumping into the world of beverage, Sarah attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and completed a culinary externship at Momofuku Ma Peche during her time there. Sarah loves crunchy, chillable red wine and everything bubbly.
